If we catch a kid using a phone at school, we take it from them and the parents have to come get it. Sometimes kids dependence on technology makes me sad. I got run in to at the grocery store by a kid who was playing with his DS while walking next to his mom. Neither one said anything about it; just kept going. I found my drive to and from Idaho much more enjoyable when my phone was only able to be used as a phone. I know part of me feels like I have some better friendships online than I do in my day-to-day life. They know all the parts of me and some of my friends that see me on a regular basis don't know as much. But I agree about kids. On purpose I didn't tell the girls that I had a car charger for their DS's that way they had to read or watch the scenery go by. (Shh, don't tell them!) I am exactly like you.
