I got bit by a little artsy-craftsy bug today and wanted to make something fun to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which falls on Sunday, February 14th (also Valentine’s Day). So I made a bunch of these little fortune cookies, inspired by this tutorial, and filled them with funny “Confucious say” sayings. I thought they’d make fun little gifts for friends and family next weekend.
This year is the Year of the Tiger. “Drama, intensity, change and travel will be the keywords for 2010. Unfortunately, world conflicts and disasters tend to feature during Tiger years also, so it won’t be a dull 12 months for anyone. The Year of the Tiger will bring far reaching changes for everyone. New inventions and incredible technological advances have a good chance of occurring. For all of the Chinese horoscope signs, this year is one to be active – seizing opportunities and making the most of our personal and very individual talents. Thanks! They’re actually not that hard to make. There’s only one little fiddly part when you glue them into shape, but there’s room for fudging. That said, I got tired and stopped at 8.
Ohh sounds exciting – that’s a great idea too. I’ve already made a change – maybe I should have waited until Chinese New Year! I’m partly blaming you for the change I’ve made
