Oh.My.God.
What a week this has been.
I’ve had a total nightmare dealing with web issues because it looked like my site had been attacked by some malicious content that would infect everyone with The Virus From Hell 2.0. Except no such thing existed. I scoured my site looking for the malevolent creature that Google insisted was lurking in my e-files somewhere. But nary a devil to be seen. Until my hubby took a look and discovered that I had actually been hacked. Yes, some a-hole calling himself JohnnyA snuck into my system and declared himself administrator. And anytime anyone clicked on anything in my site, they were redirected to a fake malware warning page. Awesome, no?
(Oh yeah. And he hacked into hubby’s site and my FIL’s site. Just spreading the joy everywhere.)
So we kicked him out, gave him the ol’ heave-ho. A thumb to the nose, so to speak. Reinstalled my files from backups. And finally, finally(!) got a clean bill of health from Google.
At 11:27 p.m. before You Capture. I had thought I couldn’t participate this week because I didn’t want to freak everyone out, thinking I was spreading viruses like some disease-vector-terrorist. So I’m sliding in under the wire this week and only have two photos for you.
But it’s been a hell of a week. Not just with the computer issues. So I think these photos quite aptly capture my state of mind right now, such as it is.

I love the place setting picture. It looks old diner-ish. Sorry about the hack. I wouldn’t even know where to begin to find the problem. HOpefully that didn’t just open me up to attack!

I just spent an hour trying to get ebay to close my account (3 years after I put in the request) because my identity was stolen by someone hacking into it. SO annoying!!! People need to get a life. I love the second shot though!

Oh I am so glad it wasn’t you! Shortly after sneaking online to your blog at work (ACK!! HELP! What is THAT!?) my computer began to seriously malfunction. As of now it really doesn’t work. We’ve spent the day trying, to no avail, to figure out what’s wrong. I couldn’t help but wonder if I’d be fired for cruising the internet picking up horrible infections instead of plugging away, especially if it infected our whole workspace. So far I haven’t been grilled about that. I may have picked something up somewhere else but at least it wasn’t you! Whew!

and your second shot immediately had me imagining myself taking a picture in a diner, trying desperately to get a shot similar to that. I love the reflection and the black & white makes it sizzle.

Not to scare you, but now that you’ve been hacked, check all your bank and credit card statements carefully for the next few months. I was hacked Feb of 09, and found out in April about identity theft in a very real and personal way. I’m still cleaning up the mess. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about the hack. It really sucks to find out that you’ve been hacked. Well at least there weren’t any major damages, right? I hope not….
I love both shots you took. I can totally relate to the first one since that’s how I feel from time to time and all I ever want to do is just lie in bed and sleep. The second one, the perspective and the way things are so in focus, it’s just amazing to look at
