you capture – red

I actually took a lot of pictures of red this week, but I am distinctly and unequivocally not in love with any of them, and after a seven hour day of sitting in Thai-style bureaucratic hell (wherein I saw a lot of red – figuratively speaking), I’m just not in a mood to go traipsing after more red or to toy with the ones I’ve got.

Save for this one. I like this one.

It’s just dripping scarlet, isn’t it?

And this one? I might like…I’m not sure.

But it sure does make me want to play around with a square format more. So I might forgive its faults if it inspires me to take photos with a new eye.

{Sorry I’m such a grump-meister. But I’m typing up the whole story right now, so you shall soon see why! Still. Apologies for being Captain Negative just now and I promise I’ll be back to my usual self shortly!}

In the meantime, you’ll find more (and likely cheerier) red at Beth’s!

  1. You poor thing. I hope it all gets resolved soon. I'm curious of the backstory, but will TRY to be patient as I wait for you to finish typing it up.

    I like the second shot. A square experiment might be fun.

  2. Great photos! I like the second shot a lot too. Sorry you're dealing with red tape. Your story might be totally different, but the frustation reminds me of doing my paperwork in Ecuador. I wanted to just reach across the counter and punch the little guy out! I'm totally opposed to violence, but it just gets ridiculous sometimes!

  3. I really like the second one. I just love that there are flowers! I NEED to see flowers! With all the cold snowy/icy weather we have been having it is making the photo shoots less exciting! I'm ready for some spring and color in my photos!

  4. Aww thank you all for your kind words!! Waking up this morning to all your lovely comments was like getting a little hug in each one of them. Definitely soul-soothing after yesterday!
