Virtual Coffee

So that fun trip down to visit my parents at the beach I told you about last week? I spent it sick as the proverbial dog. I’ll spare you the details, but suffice it to say that I didn’t get much sleep at night and I’m off seafood for the foreseeable future. I couldn’t do anything; I could barely move. Just spent most of the time wishing OSHA had authority in Thailand.

But I did get out a teensy, tiny little bit and we maximized my little bubble of energy by heading to some viewpoints at sunset. So instead of talking about how ill I felt, I’ll just share some pictures of sunsets and beaches and monkeys. Sound like a plan?

Oh yeah, because Thai beaches are well populated with monkeys.

One might say they’re teeming with ‘em.

The babies are cute. But, you know, keep a firm grip on your handbags. Or anything shiny. And try not to look when you see some impromptu fornication. {Or look. Whatever.}

(No, I did not snap a picture of it! God, lewd.)

Ok, so there were also beaches and sunsets.

So that was our trip. We’re back home now and mostly I’m just getting into the Christmas spirit. I’ve been having a ton of fun buying Christmas gifts for people and picking out a few decorations for the house. I’m going to take my oven in today to get fixed so that I can make things like Christmas cookies and moose crunch and pie.

Ok, mostly so I can make MOOSE CRUNCH. Because that stuff is like crack. Seriously.

Are you getting in the Christmas spirit? Or are the pressures bringing out your inner grinch? I do get a little grinchy, but this year, mostly I don’t care if I get a little grinchy because I’m also really enjoying trying to fabricate the holiday out of thin air over here. Just wish I could get a Christmas tree. Or we could always just string lights on our mango tree…

Happy Tuesday!
